Know your blood group

Blood groups are determined by the ABO system (A, B, AB, O) and the Rh factor (+ or -).

Compatibility at a glance

  • O- is the universal red-cell donor — anyone can receive it.
  • AB+ is the universal recipient — can receive from any group.
  • A+ can donate to A+ and AB+, receive from A+, A-, O+, O-.
  • B+ can donate to B+ and AB+, receive from B+, B-, O+, O-.

Why it matters

In an emergency, matched blood can be given faster and reduces the risk of reactions. Register on RaktoBondhu with your blood group so patients near you can reach out in time.
